Steal Her Hairstyle – Sofia Richie

If you find it difficult to keep up with the ‘who’s who’ of Hollywood hotties, don’t worry, it’s a confusing world out there. It doesn’t seem like two minutes since the name Sofia Richie was first uttered in the same sentence as Bieber and already the 18-yr old is super famous. Granted, her dad probably has something to do with that as well, considering the fact that he’s the one and only Lionel Richie. Oh, and her sister is Simple Life star Nicole Richie (remember her?).

So, Sofia was always going to make her debut at some point, but we hope that the gorgeous young star finds a way to be more than just ‘Bieber’s girlfriend.’ She certainly has the face and the style credentials to stomp the catwalk. Just last week she posted a funny Instagram snap of dad Lionel being an overprotective papa and trying to make her cover up a racy outfit. See, the rich and famous are more like us than we think.

Let’s take a little look at Sofia Richie and her finest hairstyle moments to see if this ice cool chick has what it takes to make it.

The Dip Dyed Diva

Richie has become known for her signature hairstyle; a kind of two tone dip dyed look that we secretly can’t get enough of. Even though she still looks amazing with a shorter cut, we loved the way that the transition came together when she had much longer tresses. Check out this style for example. You could ramp up the glam and take it to another level with longer, lusher lengths. Pick up some clip in hair extensions – you can even buy them pre-dyed in a two tone blend – and rock a subtle pony like Sofia.

The New Kate Moss

While the two have very different faces, we can’t help but notice that Sofia Richie gives off quite the young Kate Moss vibe. Maybe it’s the innocent expression, wide eyes, or penchant for messy, swept over hair. Whatever it is, it’s surely working for the aspiring model. If you want to make it work for you, it’s time to rock your best bed head. When you get up in the morning, resist the urge to brush. Take your finger tips and work the tangles out manually, so that you get knot free hair, but you keep that tousled, messy appeal. Then, flip the front in true Kate Moss style and walk out of the door feeling fabulous.

The Girl Who Owns the World

What kind of hairdo should you wear when you’re off cruising on a yacht around Italy? Well, as it happens, you kind of swap high maintenance looks for simple styles, so that you can spend more time sipping cocktails and swimming in the sea. Or, at least that’s what Sofia Richie does. We can’t fault her logic and it isn’t as if she looks any less gorgeous with a grungy, back to basics ‘do. Try wearing your top knot lower, like the model, as it creates a different kind of look and allows you to accessorise more easily. For example, with a low slung bun, you can add a cute fedora or hair band without worrying about it messing up your style.

The Demure Updo

Richie is fond of streetwear and urban styles, so it’s nice to see her mix things up and try a much more feminine and traditionally pretty look. She has exquisite bone structure, which means that a gentle updo works wonders for her features. This beautiful and elegant style is really easy to style as well. You just need to gather your locks – and your hair extensions, if you can’t bear to be without them – into a low, loose chignon. The key is to make sure that the front of your hair is nice and pliable. You want to be able to drape those dainty strands around your face in a framing effect.
