In the 90’s when she was scary and Spice and not so nice Melanie Brooks was the queen of the ultra big and ultra dyed Afro. These days she tends to go for the sleek sophisticated look, and all that jazz. This diva has not forgotten her pop roots though as she proves in her recent Broadway performance.  As Mel was strutting her stuff onstage as Roxie Heart from Chicago, she must have gotten a Spice girls flashback and started singing “wannabe”. We are still not sure is this spicey girl was just having fun or if this was a publicity stunt, but it sure got our attention. Let’s take a look at some of her other styles that are equally attention grabbing.

It is a long way from Spice world

There is no doubt that Mel is not one fifth of 90’s pop girl band anymore! She is rocking her boss babe look with this sleek and long mane. This girl is working one of the hottest looks right now. Waist length straight hair is perfect for that gorgeous cocktail dress that shoes off your curves in all the right places. If you haven’t got hair that goes down to your hips, it is all good either does Mel. If you want to copy her style do what she has done and clip in those hair extensions.

Swept back and sophisticated

Going for a much more eu natural style. We are so use to seeing a tint on this lovely lady’s locks that seeing her slicked back natural hair looks amazing!! This style isn’t difficult, it just takes a little time. If you haven’t got a good alcohol free (as alcohol dries out your hair) hairspray. If it is good, a little goes a long way so work it, comb it, and look as gorgeous eu natural and Melanie.

Reworking that look

We all know Melanie for her cork screw curls and we love her updated version of this style! She has cropped her mane and it looks so much healthier! Without bleaching her curls they are much more relaxed and far more glossy! If you like the 20’s look that Mel is rocking here, grab your comb, mousse and get that side part rocking! This looks classic, classy and looks amazing with the subtle smokey eye and luscious deep lips. Make sure you have your serum on stand-by if you are going swing dancing or raving.

That honey fringe

 There is nothing like a blunt fringe to show of your gorgeous eyes. Mel clearly knows this secret well and has paired her long lashes with this brilliant blunt fringe. If you have an oval shaped face like Mel, this look could be for our too. We are not going to lie and say that it takes no effort to maintain but it is so worth it to look this stunning! Mel has added the cherry to the cake by tinting her fringe a stunning honey hue which looks beautiful with her brown eyes.
